There's an emoji for just about everything, from tacos to tropical fish. But, we currently don't have an emoji to describe our periods.  A new social media campaign wants to smash the stigma surrounding menstruation one emoji at a time.  SEE ALSO: These 'femojis' may get you talking more about your period Girls rights group, Plan International, launched a social media campaign on Sunday to include an official "period emoji" on the global emoji keyboard.The charity has created five designs and people can vote for their favourite emoji. Woman's Fitbit saves her life after it detected a strange change in her heart rate

A fitness tracker could be more useful than just helping you shed weight — the data it's collecting about your body could go as far as saving lives. 73-year-old Patricia Lauder from Connecticut noticed her Fitbit data was logging an abnormally high resting heart rate of over 140 beats per minute, far higher than her usual 60 to 70, CNN reported. Yogi dressed in white powerfully defies period shame on Instagram

Yoga instructor Steph Gongora did something bold this week. Dressed in white, she got onto her mat and filmed herself in various poses that revealed a red stain from her period.  Then she put the clip on Instagram, where she now has more than 258,000 followers.  SEE ALSO: When the trolls come at you over birth control coverage, here's what to say By Saturday, the post had been viewed 208,000 times and elicited more than 4,400 comments, both cruel and kind.
